Stamps depicting Theresienstadt concentration camp.
The non-denominated stamp shown here was issued in July 1943.
Theresienstadt was used as a propaganda tool by the Nazis to hide what was really being done to the Jewish people. Despite being made to look like a comfortable place to live and work, Theresienstadt was all a façade used to trick Jewish prisoners, as well as visitors, to believe the Holocaust was not happening.
